Use of this page is limited to those Normandy Park residents considering whether to sign and then vote for annexation to Southwest Suburban Sewer District

Southwest Suburban Sewer District (SWSSD) covers most of Normandy Park (except for a small area south of South 214th Street that is served by Midway Sewer District) although most of the city area is not formally annexed (i.e. we pay our bills and get our service from them but do not vote for the commissioners); most of Burien; small portions of Des Moines, SeaTac, and unincorporated King County.

SWSSD operates two sewage treatment plants Miller Creek in Normandy Park, and Salmon Creek in Burien. They maintain and improve the existing sewer lines and work with Local Improvement Districts to extend sewer service to regions withing their sevice area.

Southwest Suburban Sewer District main headquarters is at 431 SW Ambaum Blvd in Burien, WA. There meetings of the Commissioners are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 P.M. The manager runs the district from there also.
